I Heard news from a PB friend that there was a WFO Salmon bite off Stinson beach with fish in the mid teens to 20lbs hitting at all water columns and any lure imaginable. We all have been out to Pedro to do some early season trout fishing and although it's a lot of fun I missed having a big salmon at the end of my rod screaming line out of my reel.

Lester (Badger) and I Launched out and made the peddle/sail out to the fishing grounds before the fleet of SF boats arrive, We dropped our lines in and trolled around for about 45 minutes before the breakfast switch turned on we were hooking salmon non stop, there were salmon chasing my line up to the surface, salmon hitting my line off the Downrigger before I could get it down to depth. Lester Landed a beautiful 10# fish while I was getting short bites that didn't really stick. 3 Bites later I managed to get another fish on the line and this one felt heavy just going along for the ride. 7 minutes later and 3 strong runs I got the bad boy in the boat, a nice 15lb Hen. Lester and I trolled around for 30 minutes later throwing back 22"-25" keepers in hopes of getting bigger fish. Then I get a big hit played the fish out for a good 7 min and as I brought the net out the hook pulls out and it was a nice one (Estimate 17-18#) FML.... AT this point Lester limited with another Solid 10 lber so the pressure was on for me to catch the go home fish.. dropped my line 5 minutes later a 24"er, I'll take it! Finished the day sailing back to the launch and reflecting about the fun we just had.

I don't post much on NCKA but if any of you want to connect on Instagram I'm @waterworld_JC I usually post a lot of live feeds of our fishing and diving adventures there so you'll get a more up to date report.

 Aloha,
 Jae

No videos this time as I left the GoPro at home. I do need to start filming again. As for the launch, We didn’t launch out of Stinson we came out of bolinas and got blasted a bit going out but coming in wasn’t that bad.

Nice work.  How far off the beach?  Since you say Stinson I'm assuming you were close to the beach, as opposed to out by the buoy.

Nice one, Jae!  'got a 27" in front of Stinson earlier this month, about 18  11lbs.  Not as big as sandlace's 34 1/2, but I bet my smile is just as big as his :smt005

My 1st North side after 1 year absent there.  Second one is even bigger.

27", 18lbs?
Did you weigh it, measure it, or both? My fat 25.5" this morning was 8.5lbs.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...
