For Sale / Pescador pilot 120 For Sale
« on: December 08, 2018, 11:39:08 AM »
With 2 kayaks and a jon boat.. someone has gotta go. I bought this kayak new about 6 months before buying my radar 135. Hoped the wife would use this one but that never came to be.. so I bought a boat so her and the kid can come with me from time to time. I used this guy a total of seven months in the napa river, hennessy and berryessa. She's in great shape, and the pedal drive works great. Minor scratches from launching on the bottom but nothing of significance. I also swapped out the original rudder cable that is known for breaking, and swapped it out with 400lb steel leader that has ran great. Also including a paddle, yak attack leverloc anchor trolley and two yak gear flush mount rod holders that I never got around to installing. With that also, I have a wall mount kayak holder (Rad sport brand) that can go with it if you plan to hang the kayak. It's been sitting for long enough, and is ready for a new home. Great for first time fisherman or those who want to shy from the paddle. Asking 1300$ OBO. paid 1800$ plus tax for the kayak alone. I have pictures but they will not upload, so please shoot me a text at 707 307 2562 if you would like see it.open for testing on the water, but would have to schedule it. My names Ken.

I've been to busy with life to fish for almost a month now, and was able to sneak a few hours in on the napa river this Saturday. Wasn't expecting much, just trolling around and throwing crankbaits... when I snagged another sturgeon! This is the second time in less than six months this has happened.  I got video of it and the fighting and towing that went on for damn near 40 min. I wanted some better pictures but frankly I was smoked and afraid I couldn't recover the fish if I pushed it.  I tried to get to shore but sank to my mid thighs when I jumped out of the kayak so I handled it in the water which I was hoping to avoid in encase she woke up and gave me a whack.  Tried to download video but can't.  Just screen shots.  Couple as schoolie stripers to be had as well.

Hit hennessy on Saturday,  got 5 in the boat, 4.5 if you go by size on the little guy.  Lost two getting in the net and one to deep to see the guy,  but from the fight I'd estimate a 30 lb small mouth..🤪 lol. my buddy killed it out there last weekend and it's been really picking up with worms and spinner baits in 5ft of water.  Guy from shore said he nailed one in just a couple of feet off water that was shy of 5lbs. Great lake for people on kayaks.
Went on the napa river for about two hours today and got a 24in striper trolling, pretty fish.  Gonna get him on the fryer this week,  just went out to scout around really.

I've been thinking of going peddle, and the price point and abilities of this kayak seen great.  I've been reading into it, but was hoping for some real pros and cons from some of you guys.  Anybody take out in the bay? Landed big fish from it? I'm hurting for a peddle drive, just not ready to drop 2500$+

Got a sturgeon in Napa river by cutting wharf.  44"  , but got him on a snare trolling for striper. Moral dilemma at its finest.  Released to get bigger for next time.  Got a striper last night below the southern crossing, 21inch.

« on: September 17, 2017, 10:05:07 PM »
When out today and got a couple schoolies , but a few guys came in on boats with limits for everybody aboard.  Trolling rattle traps for striper. Really picking up compared to what its been.. from what I've been hearing.

Hey everybody,  new to the forum and just making introductions.  I've used the sight for a lot of great info in the past for kayak fishing which I just recently got into.  I love it so far.. addicted really.  Always fished from shore and its been great getting on the water and I'm shooting too get more involved.  I live in Napa, California.. and if anybody is in the area or looking for a partner to go out with let me know. I'm a newbie but I got the gear and I'm up for whatever!
