Hi, thanks for the directions thread. If you drive back over to the Bayside Marine area for parking is the parking ticket you bought still good there? I would like to donate this to the raffle. Island Seasonings gift pack. I haven't been able to find it mainland side, so I ordered a case

Hi Kirk!

The parking pass you buy at Bayside is good for both sides of the harbor (see the areas in yellow on the map).

Looking forward to seeing you there and thank you for the donation!!

Sincerely,

Jim

bad news for myself, boat trailer is not working out as planned and it appears that my boat will not be able to get in the water this weekend.

 :smt009 :smt009 :smt009

however, weather conditions as follows:

FRI AND SAT
W WINDS 5 TO 10 KT. WIND WAVES LESS THAN 2 FT.
NW SWELL 2 TO 4 FT. PATCHY FOG.

first i waited for the trailer, then waited for the materials, now the bunks .... it is not happening fast enough.

sorry guys. :smt013 :smt013 :smt013

I think Ed works about 20 hours a day.  I get there at 5 AM.  He's there.  I ride my bike down the wharf after dinner.  He's there.

Likely going to make it down with my son Cameron. We'll see how he does on the five mile paddle. Hell, we'll see how I do on the five mile paddle. First time on the ocean for both of us. Cameron's concerned for Mooch and I can't think of a better cause. Thanks to the organizers!

I'm planning to roll down on friday night and pop the top on the VW camper for the night. Can we get away with that in the parking lot? If not what are better options?

I wouldn't try to park in the harbor overnight...I imagine in the surrounding neighborhoods you should be able to just park overnight with no hassle...

If you look at the map you will see EDGE GYM in the upper right corner...this is actually the local climbing gym Pacific Edge. There is free parking on the streets around the gym, and a dirt parking lot up there (turn right onto SeaBright from Murray and then take your very next right on Watson...you will see the dirt parking to your right) where I imagine a VW camper would raise no eyebrows for one night....

Click on the link above, and zoom in with the satellite view and you will see the parking lot...

Good luck and looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!!

Sincerely,

Jim

The harbor maintains a small RV park for visitors. There are 12 non-hookup spaces and 6 temporary tent camping spaces. The non-hookup spaces are $14/night and the tent spaces are $10/night.

Please contact the harbor office to reserve your space. We can hold the space with a Visa or Mastercard number.

I know!!! It is REAAAALLLYYY rare that I go the wharf and don't see him there WORKING! Not just sitting around drinking beer and smoking cigarrettes, WORKING!

I always try and tip him as much as I can when I get a rental skiff...he is always super nice to me and my family and I really appreciate it!!

I know he is not on here, but THANK YOU ED!!!!!!!!!!!
