Title: Ocean Cove video report 8/27
Post by: MooMoo Outdoors on September 04, 2017, 10:14:30 PM
It's been awhile since I fished that salt mainly because I get seasick every time I go out to the ocean whether on a kayak or a boat. Decided to man up and overload myself with dramamine and went out to Ocean Cove for the first time hoping to land some Lings. I missed Willha and his friend so stayed just north of the cove and fished solo 30 to 100 feet of water. There was one other Yaker and few small boats around me.  All fish were small. Kept 4 small Rocks and both Lings were 1 inch short. I picked up Scott's (Scooter) 4 oz jig head and it worked very well.

Thanks. Those of you who fishes the salt all the time probably see the whale often but it was first time for me and it was so cool to watch a whale from close distance.

Nice day out there! I gotta get a Go-Pro. I wish I could've shared some video instead of pictures of my adventure up there this past weekend...

Thanks for the report.  I cannot take the dramamine, it messes me up.  Maybe a half a tablet, how did it go with the seasickness?  I had to pull over and nap once on the way home.

You should. I'm having fun fishing and making videos as well. In the beginning it was a little hassle because I have to worry about camera gear and filming but once I got hang of it, it's fun to do. Now I can't see myself fishing without filming.

I did not get seasick at all this time. I think there was few contributing factors. The water was calm all moning (4 feet or less), I started taking dramamine on Friday night, took 4 pills on Saturday, took 2 on Sunday when I got up and took 2 more once I got to ocean cove. I didn't feel too drowsy as I did before. I also applied MotionEase as well before I got on the water.

Yes it was very calm. Fish were small but there was plenty of action. Thanks for watching. 😀
