Red hot bite from 6am-8am, Lots of small fish with some really nice ones mixed in. There were lots of yelling, dancing, screaming fun for everyone. Fished Apex to start the day for a lot of dinks, switched to bait and hit this 24lber, 25 OTW. Loan my net to a buddy and immediately hooked up. I went ahead and made a quick video of the Havoc the 24lber created today. Limts by 7:30am for a lot of us.

man what a beast....you not the salmon lol I can only imagine with so many people around you, that took patience and skills to land that. On top of that no net until the end lol Good job!!

by the way, when you launch, do you roll up the tramps? so you can paddle out until you can get your mirage drive in? Then re-deploy it once you are on the water?

Also when surf landing, same procedure except opposite?

Going Fishing?
Winds from the south, hook in
    the mouth.
Wind from the east, bite the least.
Wind from the north, further off.
Wind from the west, bite the
    best.

Huh larious!   That was a great video, Jae.  That move bringing your line over your other rod was golden.  See what you get when you loan Eddie your net?  All good karma brah. :smt004

Depends on the launch but lately I rarely roll up my tramps, I usually have them fully deployed and just stick my mirage drive in and go. On the way in I'll surf in with the Tramps fully deployed and pull out my Mirage drive at the last moment.

In high heavy breaking surf I definitely have tramps rolled up paddle in/out of the surf line.
