Hey Everyone, I'm originally from Virginia, but I'm living in Salinas now.  Finally got my kayaks out here and I'm looking to learn the area and hopefully get a fishing partner/s.  I'd like to do some open water halibut fishing, been researching it a lot, I love to pound flounder back in VA.  Also looking to get into rock fish and lings.  Only thing I really need is a VHS radio and a fishing partner (probably shouldn't go a few miles out alone, at least according to the guy at the tackle box).  Bounced some jigs in moss landing the other day, had a few bites and caught one bait stealer. Went out in Monterey bay and caught some rockfish.  Taste pretty good, looking forward to going out again.

Anyway I've got a Hobie Outback and a Jackson Kraken 15.5  I love them both but the peddle drive wins out in current when you want to hold on a spot, or any other time you want to go hands free.  Anyway hit me up if your headed out in the Monterey area.

Right on, LIY - welcome  :smt001

I took a guest out who had the Kraken 15.5 - very solid boat for sure.  I was impressed.
