Hello to everyone, my wife and I purchased a used Hobie Oasis a couple months ago. We are loving every minute we are on the water and look forward to trying new places to explore and fish. We live in Penn Valley (near Grass Valley) and hope to share fishing reports from our locale and learn from others on this forum.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Time to head out and enjoy this beautiful weather. Today we are headed to Collins lake, wish us luck.

Tom

Welcome.  Be careful.  It's easy to become a NCKA addict.

Thanks, I already have the NCKA on my iPhone. Not good, I have an addictive personality. :)

Welcome aboard Tom. So glad to hear you and your wife are enjoying yourselves on the water. Try and attend on some of the hook ups so you can meet some super cool folks we have here at NCKA. Hope to fish with you soon.

Thanks Jedmo,
I can tell you that we will not have as much time to hit the water as we would like. Between both of us working, 8 grandchildren, church and taking care of the homestead, we are quite busy as I am sure most here are. We are trying to downsize some and play more. Good news is my wife loves the kayak. When we first tried it we were on Engelbright for a couple hours. She said it was the most fun she has ever had. Not so sure that bodes well for me, but I am getting over it. LOL

Welcome aboard Tom  :smt006  If your wife think "it was the most fun she has ever had" wait until she caught fish from the kayak  :smt002  Good lucks on fishing today.

Unfortunately the skunk is back on, not even a bite at Collins Lake. I trolled a night crawler and soaked some power bait from shore while we ate lunch and nothing. Talked to many in boats and from shore and no one was catching today.
On the bright side it was a beautiful day and it was good to be on the water.
