2016 AOTY/DOTY Participation Raffle Tickets - Please doublecheck your counts!

Hi All,

First, thanks to all of the AOTY and DOTY competitors for your contributions to the tournament in 2016.  We had a great year, with 130 paid competitors.  We know that not all of you submitted fish, so c'mon, you can do better in 2017!!

As previously stated, our 2016 NCKA AOTY/DOTY Participation Raffle Prize is a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 130X (see previous NCKA thread about it).  Thanks so much to Wilderness Systems and RacinRob for securing this prize for us! 


As per our participation raffle rules, each competitor that paid for entry will receive one raffle ticket, and in addition will receive one ticket for each species that was submitted and approved, (and not subsequently deleted - you guys know who you are  ), with a maximum of 21 tickets. 

Also, remember that for 2017, the AOTY competition has changed its rules such that fish with its mouth open will be approved (as long as its not egregiously open to lengthen the fish), with a point deduction. While this may result in you getting a lower score in the competition, each one of those fish will count towards the participation raffle (prize TBD)!

I have tallied the totals based upon the information that we had, and have listed them here below.  PLEASE take a look at your individual totals and contact me or any AOTY/DOTY committee member if you believe the numbers are incorrect for any reason.  We'll be happy to look into it.

The prize drawing will be done at the AOTY/DOTY Awards Ceremony, details of which should be announced shortly.
