Wheeleez help!!! Anyone ever lube the wheels?

After 6 years I've finally got a set of wheeleez,well actually they are old roleez. They have been sitting for years the bearings are tight and crunchy. I'm hoping it's because they have been sitting for so long.
Has anyone lubed theirs? Any ideas on something to use that won't just be a sand magnet? The felt seals are there and intact. Tried google to no avail

Maybe try some graphite lube powder?

Figured I would try for actual experience while I have them apart. If not then I will call them after the holiday weekend.

That was my first thought Howard,it's the only thing that comes to mind that I don't think would be a sand magnet.

Only concern is that the bearings are broken/melted.  That can happen if you tow them too fast and heat builds up in the bearings.  They aren't made for that kind of speed, a couple people have discovered that the hard way.

If the bearings are tight and crunchy, it's probably going to need more than lube. Wheel-Eez and Roll-Eez use a bushing, not an actual bearing. Sounds like the previous post hit the nail on the head .... Bad bearing due to ???????

lol I remember this. Eric did this I was going to try and re machine a wheel for him,you were gonna be in my area and he was gonna send it with you. Turned out it just wasn't worth the cost of even a bearing.
These wheels are almost new they have just been sitting outside for a long time. I think in this case towing them up and down the road might actually help loosen things back up.

If they feels tight and crunchy when turning, then you either got sand between the bearings and the axles, or sand have warn grooves in the bearings or the aluminum axles. I always flush the wheels with water after each outing. No lubrication needed. If they still feel rough, lightly sand the surfaces to remove any groove.

Be wary of applying any petroleum products to the plastics...dino tends to soften and destroy plastics.
