http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?nm_mc=AFC-TechBargains&cm_mmc=AFC-TechBargains-_-NA-_-NA-_-NA&Item=N82E16830111240

Newegg has the Olympus Stylus 1050SW 10MP 3X Digital Camera for a low $229.99 Free Shipping. Tax in CA, NJ, PR, TN.

5,4oz; 10.1 megapixels; 3x optical zoom; 2.7" LCD; xD card

This is the ultimate camera for the clumsy, or at least those that frequently freeze, drop, or swim with their digital camera. The Stylus 1050 SW is shockproof, waterproof, freezeproof and "overall lifeproof". "Tap Control" allows you to operate the camera by tapping it, which is useful when you're wearing thick gloves.

Is this cheap?

Yes, it is. Even with the Live.com cahback, at the moment, you only get it for $224 cheapest. I just bought the 1030 a couple of months ago for $210 (cashback already factored in). And you should be able to find it at that price at plenty of places without paying tax and shipping.

Who are you calling clumbsy?  :smt003

Just an update/bump for this thread

newegg.com has a 25% off coupon for this camera right now.  Expires 11/25/08. (Free shipping, tax in CA)

$172.49 with free 2GB microSD card

FREE 2GB SD Card with purchase:
(1) http://www.techbargains.com/jump.cfm?id=488&afsrc=1&u=142613-n-20&arg=N82E16830111243
(2) Scroll down to see Combo Deals
(3) Click on View All
(4) Choose $229.99 combo deal with 2GB SD Card
(5) Click on Buy This Combo next to that deal
(6) At shopping cart, enter 25% off Newegg Coupon
Code: STYLUS105025A

Keep in mind this camera uses xD-picture media, which is not included with the camera.

It can use micro-sd if you use an adapter made by olympus micro-sd to xD, which newegg doesnt sell, so I would purchase xD media or choose a different camera.

The Model 1030 included the adapter; so the 1050 may also. Just need to check it out as to whether it does.

According the the manual, inclusion of the adapter depends on where it was puchased.  In this case, it doesn't come with it.

I bought one so I just wanted to give yalls a heads up on that.

What's the depth rating on this camera?  Sounds like I might need one.   :smt001

The 1050SW is rated to 10ft.

Another nice feature this camera has is built in 41MB of memory, so you can actually shoot some pictures w/o having a media card in it.  41mb doesn't sound like much, but you can take about 45 pics if you set it to 3.0 megapixel and normal instead of fine definition.  That will get you by in a pinch.

It turns out this camera does include the microSD adapter.  I dug into my trash and found it among the discarded packaging.  Its tiny.
