I’ll keep it simple so that I don’t take to much time. Got a hummingbird helix 5 DI on my kayak right now. Recently bumped into a hummingbird 788 CI HD has gps that I really need lol for 250 is it worth swapping mine for the 788? Never had a fishfinder till I got back on December of last year so I’m all new tk fish finders. Any help is greatly appreciated since I’m going tk
Go Take a look at it tomorrow. Thanks to all for tornimpjt

788 is a nice unit. I currently use a 768 and the 788 would be a nice upgrade. The Helix 5's are nice too. I won't get one without GPS though, so between the two I would dog 788.

GPS.... gotta have gps. That’s not a bad deal.

oh yeah learn that lesson very quick! Last year when I naught the hobie my first trip on it was at pebble beach and still wTer cove, the best fishing Setting I been in. That was until we went about 1.5 mikes out from the shore and the fog cane in thick, I was sone what scared/freaked out inside. So I told my self gps was a must if I was to be out in the water. Thanks slackedtide

I also carry a compass and know how to use it. And just because you now how to use it does not mean it will get you home if you do not know what part of the coast you are on.

Compass I totally forgot about. In a world where technology is the norm I forgot a the good old compass.
