Stephanie's Spearing For Leukemia

April 18th Caspar Ca.

As many of you know the NorCal dive community is an extended family. Recently some of our family members, Danny and Stephanie Clark, received some shocking news.

Stephanie was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. We want to rally around Steph and her husband Danny, and support them during this difficult & challenging time.

Everyone who has met Stephanie knows she's a one of kind person. There's nothing she wouldn't do for someone she cared about. Now, it's our turn to show her how much we care.

With the diagnosis of Leukemia comes financial hardship. We all know that doctor's visits, co-pays, unpaid time off work for sick days, travel for care, medications, and a whole host of financial issues erupt in the face of health care.

The Norcal Underwater Hunters will be hosting a “Fun Dive” event along with a Raffle and BBQ to help raise funds for the upcoming costs Danny and Stephanie will be facing.

We will be holding this event on April 18th at Stephanie's favorite Beach, Caspar Ca.

The day will consist of us all gathering at Caspar that morning and all doing a fun dive. Then at about 2pm we will be back to the beach for the raffle and BBQ. We will be selling raffle tickets the day of the event, and all proceeds go to Danny and Stephanie.

The focus of this day is good times and good vibes and to bring some cheer and support to those in need.

In addition to the Fun Dive/Raffle and BBQ,  there is a GoFundMe account has been set up for those who may not be able to make the event:

http://www.gofundme.com/m24dl0

Some of us may not be able to help with a monetary donation, so any and all support is appreciated...prayers and good thoughts especially!

Please help support Steph & Danny in her journey to kick cancer's butt! Even the smallest donation could make the biggest difference! If you cannot donate, please send positive thoughts!!

Thank you in advance!!

Please contact me or Matt Mattison with any questions, or thoughts on additional ways to help.

BUT, we will still be doing a T2B once hook and line is opened up...date and location TBD...have already commissioned a Piscean Plaque for winner...and you KNOW it will kick ass!!  :smt007 :smt007

I will be there for a few hours at least.  A little BBQ, some beer and then I have to figure out how to get all my raffle winnings home. Plenty of great sponsors so everyone has a chance if they show up or have someone else buy their tickets.

Be up with the fam in the afternoon.  Kid has a baseball game in the am so I'm (almost) glad the ocean isn't cooperating and I won't miss diving. But I am looking forward to meeting a few of you all face to face!

Amazing event, TON of super cool people, loads of great prizes and a LOT of raffle tix sold!!

Spent most of the day paddling with fuzz in BIG, BIG, BIG swells unsuccessfully looking for spots to dive  :smt005

But the raffle and the vibes and the PARTY after made me forget all about the lack of fish, and the small size of the abalone I took.  :smt003

Huge thanks to EVERYONE who helped one way or another, came out, or just sent good vibes.

 :smt008

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

ps..will see tonight if I got any footage of the swells and surge worth throwing together for a vid.  :smt044
