I took some OTW pics but they are on 35mm and not developed.  I also did not get any of the fish that were weighed in, but hope some of the others did.  Bill thank you again for putting together the tourney, it was another great gathering.

Thanks for putting the show on you guys.
The winner was my parking neighbor and when he pulled down this little girls ugly, beat up 9 foot Pelican kayak I felt a little sorry for him.
Then he says he wants to fish near the big wave break out there and noted it was good to have so many nice big kayaks around in case he gets wiped out.

Then ...the next thing I know...he wins the tournament.!!!
First Susan Boyle....
Then Kevin Skinner...and now this.
Never judge a kayak fisher by his cover.
Congratulations to him!

Thanks for the great time, and i removed the skunk from my back by catching a few fish...

When we first got out there, i dropped a swim bait with a shrimp fly above and instantly BAM... My reel went haywire and my pole was bent.... Hell of a fight... I dug down and started reeling in hard, I was totally freaked cause I knew I had something big!! Then it made another run and then I really freaked, finally got it close to the yak and I saw a BIG white flash!! Hali.... I was already planning on how I was gonna get my new yak home, then it surfaced....My dreams were shattered, I had a 4 foot shark on....  I managed to get him on the yak, then the thing flipped out and started thrashing on my lap and crotch...Lucky for me he came unhooked and I shoved him off me into the water.... Bad news is sharks dont count in the derby, but it was a whole lot of fun to reel in... Ended the day with that big ass shark (released safely) few small rockies (released), a 21 inch ling, too small (released), and a 15 3/4 cabbie (DINNER)..

I saw our derby winner out on the water towards the end of day and we chatted, he gave me two rock fish to add to my dinner plate, he mentioned he had a hali, but thought a bigger one was caught, he was stoked and some what bummed at the same time, as we know, his was the only hali caught and little did he know he already won the derby. Great guy and a very determined angler...

anyone know what kind of shark I may have caught, he was like a grey on top, white on bottom... Not a thresher, Im think a Dog Fish (dog shark)? Are these present in the HMB area? Great fight, but not so fun once he was on board the yak...

Had a great time and I didnt puke in the swell. :)

Thanks for the memories, here are some more pics...
