Just picked up my new Caribbean 14 from Head Waters in Lodi. Bill was a great help in deciding to go 12 or 14 feet. I went with the green over grey just cuz it looks rad. Now to get it wet.....

Congrats on an awesome looking kayak!
So what were the deciding factors that pushed you towards the c14?
 I’m considering a Caribean and can’t decide between a 12 or 14.

14 is longer and faster.  12 is a bit lighter.  They're both excellent paddling craft.  I had a 12 for a while and liked it before I got my Hurricane, which John, P-Sherman currently owns.  That Hurricane was awesome but not as stable as the Caribbeans.

There is only about a 5 lb difference on the weight. I have had both the 12 and 14. I still have the 12 and it is one of my favorite kayaks. If you are able to get to the headwaters, they have both for Demo. Super easy to load with just one person.
