Bitter melon . Couldn't be any worse than nopales ? :smt001

Guess ya gotta get your greens in where ya can.
I remember going on a health kick once and made a prickly pear leaf(nopales) juice, that was a slimy odd liquid that has a sour essence and kinda flows like mucus…the okra provides that slick rice sticking component.  Nopales is one of my ingredients in chili verde so it’s kinda buried but part of da yum… :smt006

Who knows, I might threddiejack my own thread and post the butterscotch pudding I need to make…with a side of liverwurst naturally and candied bittermelon nuggets…

That sandwich looks great.

As for the other one, I'm not a huge fan of bitter melon, but after 30 years of wife trying to convince me, I'm slowly coming around...

We need a "dad jokes" thread for winter time.
According to a lawyer or 3 it’s always winter…

Dad jokes happen on the fly and are usually punny to da max so this is gonna be good…gotta dredge up the “swagger wagon” video on YouTube to kick it off…

Get that fat flatty with a 30lb. Salmon or 60lb wsb bycatch will ya’?  On a side note… :smt006

Da bitter melon leaves are super bitter.  The bitter profile grows on ya’ cuz you sorta kinda know ish it’s possibly good for ya’?  Not sure why I’ve grown to tolerate then crave it…must be the rice… :smt005

My mom, and grandparents, always ate liverwurst and loved it. Myself, I’ll take a pass.
Fuggedabouddit… :smt006

Does this comment make you feel elderly ?    :smt044
Elderly makes me feel elderly, trying to interject in my teens' conversations makes me feel elderly, hey I've got another dad joke, I'm not elderly I'm Eddielery...unless you were responding to 3$, he is too fishy and young to be elderly... :smt006

I’ve had a hard time finding Braunschweiger in my cheapo grocery and an old timer reminded me of an Italian deli that has good liverwurst.  I bought a lb of liverwurst and a pound of mortadella.  Feel free to embellish in case I missed sumpin’ besides a glass a red at lunch which wouldn’t be good for da haircuts…

Sourdough
Mayo
Mortadella
Red onion
Hard Parmesan slices
Slice of American
Liverwurst

Bon appetito… :smt006

Tides are based on the moon.

Currents are based on water temp.
class is in session.  Navionics app has tide speed for certain markers in the ocean.  It is one of my recent studies… :smt006

Last weekend's salmon trip was on a power boat, not a kayak, so I didn't report it. Headline is that I went out on my buddy's small cuddy cabin (22 feet) with 3 of us on board. Went straight to Dux, tacked toward Stinson Beach and found a spot of big fish. We ended up with 6 hogs, all over 20 pounds, with the biggest over 30. I had a 55 lb. limit.

As for yesterday, Cal Dawn 2 reported catching almost 300 halibut, with 250 of them being shakers. Ratio seems about right.
Dang...thanks for that...I hope to fish that route tomorrow, Dux to Stinson... :smt006
I did Muir to Rocky on 8/2. Pulled a big fat skunk and a wave to the face. Pretty quiet out there it seemed. Not much bait and birds, no whales, some jellies. Launched Muir and trolled a BCP in 60-70' and 30-50' down up to Rocky. Did some laps, headed back to Muir and did some laps there. Only saw two boats and never saw a net fly. I don't have your slayperience so you might have better results. Hope you get em
Thanks brah!  Gotta try to top off my freezer like John... :smt006
