Hey folks, havent been on in a while..it's just been depressing for me to see all the salmon caught and still havent landed one. Been out 6 trips, only 2 hits with one hog at the side of my yak only to pop off.
So decided fo go out with some of the guys today. Other than the 14' GWS that Pete and and Paul saw swim across their tandem and  the 12' GWS that made Darius scream like somebody saw him naked through the bathroom window😂😂😂, it was a more than epic day. A 30"+ hali, numerous big verms, lings to go around and that hog Cabe that Ron caught to show.
Bean Hollow was very productive today..
Sorry for the sideways pics

"other than" section made me laugh but I'm sure it was epic.  You are saying that 2 GWS drivebys happened on top of all this slaying?  Great fishin' by the way.... :smt006

From the way Darius screamed it sounded like a close encounter. He was a good 200 yards away from me.

:smt044 it was epic! I set my alarm to 4:00 I woke up somewhat day break, I checked my it was set to PM.  :smt005 Luckily I already preloaded my kayak. Stopped by starbucks near my place then hit the road. I got to the place and saw steve launching. Holer st the guys to check on the bite. Nada! Took my time prepping. It was an easy launch no timing needed. As soon I paddle pass the breaker at the point. Saw a familiar Dorsal fin just cruising 15-20 yrds. Now Im thinking of going back to the shore. I saw Scurvy not too far holer at him to come meet me. I know he had shark shield. As he came close, I ask if his SS was on. He didnt have it. We paddle towards the the group but we kept seeing these nice structures. Let drop some line. Nada, then I was facing Brad, looked on my left. Big ripple. I asked if he saw and he did.

We paddled to the group. Here come Paul on his tandem much faster than normal peddling. mentioned his enountered. It never left my mind I often look behind me. Few minutes fishing ling and nice verm, I didnt realized I got separated about 200 yrds from the group. I had this urge to look behind me again and there it is. Right behind me swimming slowly. Grab my paddle and made a little noise from grabbing the paddle spooked it. I was screaming to the group to turn their shark shield. Never left the group since. The wind picked up and we got scattered. Thats when almost decided to head in.

Fishing in the morning during SSE swell it was pretty tough. As soon as swell direction change we started getting steady pick here and there lots of nice fish, everyone got Verms I got 2 nice ones and Bolinas. Since I cant get any ground I decided to head with Ron and Nick.

Getting GoPro and SS come september.  :smt002

Ahh, the bean...  BTDT.  As my kids would say, you gotta risk it for the biscuit.

Great haul and glad you guys returned with all your appendages.
