I've searched the forum but didn't find any current info. I have 2 rods that need guide replacements from wipe outs and poor handling. Anyone know anyone in the North Bay that does repair?

If it's the end guide that needs to be replaced, you can do it yourself. It's pretty simple, the glue that holds the guide in place will melt with the heat of a lighter. You can get a replacement tip at most tackle shops and they usually come with a stick of glue. It's basically like using glue gun glue without the gun.

There is a guy in Sebastopol Cliff something, I recently had him match the guide and wrap for a vintage fenwick he charged me like $5. I gave him $20 he didn't want to take it, I told him I didn't drive out here to spend $5. He has a ton of old school blanks and he can make you a nice rod.  I'll dig up his info after I get back from the river.

There is a guy in Benicia that has a rod repair shop. It is right next to "The Workshop" (good cajun food, only open for lunch)

Found his Facebook.

Thanks to all. I will look up Todd on FB. If Mickfish can find info on the guy in Sebastopol that would be great. I work out that way.

If you are into doing it your self go to Mudhole.com they have good tutorial videos and sell anything you need. It's pretty easy to replace guides.  I buy garage sale rods with decent blanks and upgrade the guides all the time. Saves a ton of money and the wife isn't so inclined to shoot me when she looks at the 97 rods in the basement.

Good luck

I actually keep an assortment of guides and thread / epoxy on hand to DIY fix my junky rods. If I want something done right, I'll do it myself take it to somebody that knows what they're doing, but for the POS's and ancient stuff I use for kayak fishing, I'll usually fix my own stuff.
