Just read a post on the Sonoma Sheriff's facebook page about 2 dudes from Sac who decided that paddling a canoe to Bodega Head in December while wearing waders was a great idea.  Lucky to be alive and are probably enjoying a little hypothermia right now.  Dummies.  Nice work Henry One!

I was at Doran on the second weekend of crab season and I noticed two canoe, one green Coleman and one unbranded galvanized model, in the haul out area next to the day use. The risks that some are willing to take for a few sea spiders ...

I was actually there this morning and saw these guys.  I arrived just before sunrise, 6:30ish and watched these two guys unload the canoe at the cove beach inside the jetty.  I parked, saw how much the wind was howling, and decided to drive back home to Berkeley.

Glad they're okay.  Definitely not smart to launch in today's conditions and those waders.

According to the one comment on there, after they were rescued, they hopped back in the canoe (still in waders) and went back out on the water to try crabbing again... :smt044
