Wish I can get one on a 4yr no interest payment plan :smt003

Allan,

Keith at CCK offered me a payment plan, not 4 years though. I used ended using Visa.

I'm getting one for sure.  Hopefully early next year, by around March even if i have to credit it.  I'll pm you then for more info on Keith payment plan.

Mel and Earnest

You won't regret the investment. The PA has some advantages like stand up casting and crazy rigging options and space, however, in Nor Cal for salmon and WSB the AI is the weapon of choice not to mention a shot at albacore. All that said, the pleasure of sailing is the real difference. If the bite is off, go for a sail.  :smt003 We are trying to organize our first AI regatta and salmon hunt. Will loop you in on that. Personally I don't use the sail that often because Molly doesn't like it and it is easier to fish without it.  :smt005 However, When the fall and winter comes, I will be doing some serious sailing.

Mine loads nicely on my existing Thule Glide and Set mount.  Lucky 13 has Malone Wings.  I first place an old kitchen area rug on top my Chevy Tahoe's rear gate.  Lift the bow on the top of the rear gate on top of the carpet.  Walk back towards the stern and push the yak into the Thule kayak mounts.  I found an old yoga mat in my closet and put this were the stern is sitting on the ground to prevent damage.
Tailwalk picks his up doing a squat and lifts his AI over his head then puts it upside down in his Tahoe.  The sail is strapped on the bars.
We all store our Amas inside our vehicles.
I learned this technique from Great Bass 2 on one of the sailing clinics.

Same as your kayak. I have seen Hai  disassemble it in the same time it takes for me to do the same 4 my adventure.

Peace & Blessings!

Congrats Mel.  It's game changer for sure.  I use to dread the wind, now I look forward to it!

It's much easier than you think.  Here's a tutorial I posted....

How secure is it?  Last month, this old Volvo transported two AI's over 2,500 miles on our road trip to Baja.

Now you are a believer after your maiden voyage but the fun has just began. With all accessories, upgrades, and mods you'll gonna do... Donna will hate your whore. You may be sleeping on it pretty soon LOL.

Lifting the hull over my Tahoe does not take strength. It's a matter of technique and getting used to it. Trust me. I am not that strong. Pro for that matter (without cradle) is my cartop rack can easily take 2 AIs  = carpool, and <gas$.

Glad you and Earnest had a great time. But wait until you go up the big wind... That's what you'll call real fun. Now let's go
to Capitola and checkout your buddy.

As the AI fleet gets bigger; thoughts arise of me trying one out someday. If you're giving lessons Lino I may have to hook up with you if I ever do. My problem is where to store the darn thing. I have the two Hobies on the wall now and little roof spave in the garage.
