Nice report!

I heard someone else flipped too at Bolinas, yard sale.
Just keep an eye on the waves and water and you’ll be fine.
Any luck on your lost gears?

Safety First / Re: Leash self to kayak?
« on: March 25, 2020, 05:10:59 PM »
I’ve seen this one YouTube video of two paddleboarder out at sea and one didn’t leash and one did. The one who didn’t fell in to the water and waves and wind blew the board away faster than the swimmer could swim. The second person with the leash went to get the board and couldn’t paddle correctly while trying to hold onto the extra board so she took off her leash and tied it to the other board as she paddle back to the other person. She also fell in and both boards floated away, they both were swimming in the open water I forgot for how long or till they got to safety.

It would seem good to attach something just in case a flip or crazy waves knocks one off to still be somewhat attached. I’ve have seen guys come back to shore with leashes to everything and it looks scary.
Maybe a long rope to a float so even if you did take a dive it would take a while before the rope catches up to the kayak?

Well done, for sure! I’m so glad to hear everyone was OK in the end.

(As an aside, the kayaker really should consider dressing for immersion so that he doesn’t find himself in the same position if/when he ends up in the drink.)

Thank You Guys, just doing what any of you would of done, and I’m wearing a NRS Little John wetsuit with a thin red windbreaker.

Just glad he is safe and we all got to go home.
Stay safe guys.

Looks like a juvenile shark compared to the drone shadow size on the water but I could be wrong

Can’t be hiding behind the camera, need a picture of you too in your own post.

Sounds like a successful day to me, got crabs and off the water early. Nice man!!

I would like to join on one of your salmon trips if we can get a same day off, just tried salmon fishing on a charter and caught some tasty salmon but would rather do it off my kayak.

I would like to join you guys one of these days, I don't know how well but I have hoop nets so I might try that for some crabs.  Hmb looks nice and flat with not much crazy waves.

Been busy fishing Have no checked the forums, you are in my waters well waters that I fish a lot. I use nothing but crankbait and minnow type lures for both trouts and Kokanee but watch out for the small mouth bass they bite a lot too by the edges or rocky points. Best area is troll from the dam and across and zig zag around, troll slow. Lots of the big trouts are at the mouth of the river but they are deep! Worms works good there. Good luck

I will say the reds are getting bigger and bigger every time I head out

Haha how it going Alex!
I saw your post and thought it had to be Alex. Then saw the 34inch ling and yup it is. Yeah I forgot to come back down to take a picture of you and the monster 34inch ling, I was up in the bathroom changing. I saw the other two kayaker bring in fish too.

Yeah for sure man, next time we'll head out same time for safety and enjoy some good fishing.

Awesome Catch Again, Congratulations on the Big Ling!

Can't wait! Went out today to do a test run before the actual tournament since the next time I'm out on the coast is during the tournament. Last year was a blast, can't wait to see what happens this year.
