160 for the ocean, 160 for big lakes, 160 for most rivers around here. 135 for anything I don't need to go more than 1/2 mie.

There is NO "one kayak does all" hence the reason we hoard WAF points to own more than 1 yak.  Id never take my ai to stillwater nor would I prefer my SINK for long offshore trips.  Each have a use so you need at least 3 yaks :smt003

I'm going to forward this quote to my wife..

So if you don't hear from me in three days send in the coroner...
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Late next season huh? Seems like a long ways off to be showing it off. Regardless, this boat round out the line nicely. Now for an ultra sleek bad ass rough water fishing boat form JAckson.

That's what I am waiting for.

I once had to paddle a 20 foot PB back to the launch at San Luis.  I assume this yak will be about as responsive

I got the chance to paddle the prototype this weekend at the Jackson Dealer Summit in Tennessee. I was pleasantly surprised by the yak. For what it is (big wide stable yak built for a big guy to stand in) the yak is really sporty. I would compare it somewhere in between the NuCanoe frontier for stability and weight capacity, and the Oldtown Predator for weight and ease of paddling. The deck outfitting was really slick and would make rigging easy. The deck is not final, but the hull is 100% done. I think it will be a nice option for someone in the market for a big mans Jackson fishing boat.
