just in from icast, Jackson Kayaks has a new big man boat in the works for hopefully late next season, based on the cuda hull, not the tuna, wider boat with more stability and not to much loss on speed, well as fast as a 38" boat can be, as i said still a prototype so hopefully this will be a competitor of the wildy ride series, finally a boat for bigger guys that is not a tandem design, cameron

Late next season huh? Seems like a long ways off to be showing it off. Regardless, this boat round out the line nicely. Now for an ultra sleek bad ass rough water fishing boat form JAckson.

38". Wow! Not bashing.

It seems manufacturers are getting away from ease of paddling and going for more stability. Unfortunately. Unless you know something at Jackson, then I say the trend will continue.

I agree that the trend is headong towards larger, heavier, more "full featured" 'boats'.  Won't be long before O/B power is standard.

I agree with the Torque.  Power, other than paddle, may be the "only" option for the future of kayaks granted the size, weight & feature increases.

Put those  lawn chair seats in them and they  have to go bigger  to compensate for the loss of  stability.
Two opposite ends of the spectrum for  " Kayak "  fishing.   SUP's at  one end , now this and  PA's at the other.
It's a cool looking boat, just don't ask me to help load it. :smt005

There is NO "one kayak does all" hence the reason we hoard WAF points to own more than 1 yak.  Id never take my ai to stillwater nor would I prefer my SINK for long offshore trips.  Each have a use so you need at least 3 yaks :smt003
