I found this quiz online... it's a fish id quiz for California.  Some of the species aren't normally sport species and some species are from Southern California.

At some point I may post my own fish ID quiz.

Until then enjoy...

The test changes slightly for every person who takes it.  I aced it once and picked the wrong warbonnet on the second go around.

I think if I ever have the energy to write my own quiz it won't be multiple choice.  Although, I could make it as a poll.... hmmm

bsteves,
That was fun!  I didn't do very well (9/15) but I did find it educational.  More! More!

I would be doomed without multiple choice. I have test-taking radar. but it requires multiple choice to operate at full power.

I actually got the copper rockfish wrong (the force told me to pick quillback, so much for my jedi skillz) and
kelp perch too, both pretty easy with the benefit of hindsight. but I also got some right where I must credit the
test taking force that guided me through school.

Just don't make me write an essay, or I'm sending in my 6 and 8 year olds to do my homework.

I almost called the copper a quillback also, but then I saw the white line running towards the tail along the lateral line.. quill backs don't have any white on the posterior half of the body.  I think if it wasn't a multiple choice I would have called it a quillback, but the copper choice got me to think about it more!

I once passed an exam in high school on human anatomy that was worth college credit but I never studied for it.  It was all multiple choice and zenned my way through.

I got 10 out of 15, but missed the ling cod cause the picture made it look too small.

i don't think that should count.
