General Talk / Re: How often do you wash your outerwear?« on: April 22, 2024, 11:59:45 AM »Curious, How often do you wash you outerwear? (Jackets, pants, drysuit, bibs, wetsuit, etc) Wash? Never thought of that. Maybe that's why I always seem to fish alone... 3
For Sale / Re: solo skiff for sale. kayak portability, powerboat range« on: April 20, 2024, 07:28:42 PM »
That's a cool boat, and the video is amazing.
They say that it's rotomolded with 1/2" thick plastic. It must be bomb proof. If I had space to store it, I'd be very tempted... 4
General Fishing Tips / Re: How many of you have 2-rod stamp?« on: April 17, 2024, 08:43:02 PM »
I always get the second rod thingy, but I'm not sure why, as I rarely fish freshwater.
In the ocean, I've seen kayakers fishing with 5 rods. They look like ocean-going porcupines. 5

General Fishing Tips / Re: Neoprene Wrist Gasket Replacement« on: April 15, 2024, 07:56:10 PM »
I was extremely reluctant to get a drysuit, as I've always had issues with latex rubber gloves. If I put on latex gloves, my hands turn red and skin gets itchy, and worse. So, when I got my first drysuit, I was planning on replacing the wrist gaskets, but miraculously, the latex wrist gaskets on my Kokatat (semi)drysuit don't seem to bother my skin.
Anyways, are there silicone rubber wrist gaskets? I seem to recall seeing some when I was thinking that I'd need to replace my wrist gaskets. 7

Interesting kayak.
Under the right conditions (light wind), and if you don't have too far to travel, that should work on the ocean. 9

General Talk / Re: Stuff I learned registering my new kayak trailer at the DMV today« on: April 05, 2024, 09:13:22 PM »... if no plate or VIN might be easiest to tell them it was custom made. Any idea what happens in that case. Coincidentally, I'm building a trailer for my Hobie AI, and it should be done any day now (I've been saying for a couple of months, but this time I mean it!) |
