Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Hookup Capitola Thursday 9-21-23

I’ll be headed out of Capitola tomorrow to find some fish. Halibut is the target but if Bonita are around I’ll be trying to get into them trolling my x-rap rapala. I’ve only fished there 1 time and that was years ago on the rental skiffs. Company welcome. May be the last kayak fishing trip of the season for me.

Its about this time of year I start thinking about albacore and head over to Eureka to pick up a few of them when there selling off the boat. I wish I could get my hands on some loins here in the bay. Any ideas where I can pick some up? Maybe Berkley fish market. I Just spotted this post of a charter going out this weekend but I'll miss it due to work.

Hey NCKA I’m back after being off the water for 2 years or so and gonna hit it hard for salmon this Friday 9-2-22. Looking for some buddies to fish with. I lived in Humboldt for years and kayaked fished plenty from shelter cove/ Mendo and Trinidad then moved back down to the bay got busy with new job and renovating the new condo in Petaluma. I’m in new territory so I’m really looking forward to learning the area hooking some pink again. I’d be there before the sun rises so around 5:15am-5:30am in the parking lot. I wouldn’t be opposed to Bolinas. I’m researching the ins and outs of both areas so things can change depending on word of the bite.

Thought I’d post up here before Craigslist if anyone is interested. I got this in 2001, played during the summer until school started and then sadly put away for 17 years untouched. From what I can tell it’s a pretty hard color to find. It’ll come with everything in the pic which is the guitar, guitar stand, amp cord and amplifier. Just saw this up on the Facebook. IÂ’m guessing it was from the bubble , rouge or smith river. Even if it is within the range of 64 lbs +- 10lbs or so itÂ’s a big gun for sure. Just from the bad pic with modified sniffer pose I’d guess 45lb but I’m shooting from the hips

General Talk / Modifications to wheeleez cart

I've been thinking of adding simple mods to the kayak cart that would make it easy to dolly around a big cooler/ BBQ and such on the beach. Doesn't seem like it would be very hard but looking for ideas.PVC would be too weak and metal would be hard to work with.
