After being on the water today, I noticed plenty of success with salmon roe for sturgeons. I can get my hands on a bag of cured salmon roe from the local bait shop but here comes my question. What difference if any between the cured and un cured roe does the dinos notice? I heard the dinos don't like the cured roe and if that's the case I won't bother buying it. Feel free to chime in :)

Good fishing with you today bro. You want the uncured. I got some before at OPS in Rohnert Park. Jim

uncured is always best , i just use miricle thread instead of cheese cloth or pantie hose....more bait checks required but just keep adding it. i had a marinade recipe from a local guide which invloved clam juice and MSG but never felt the need to use it.

This guy knows what he is talking about.

I have only tried uncured roe for Sturgeon because Sturgeon vets like BaitNbeer have told me that Sturgeon dislike the cured roe.  I use magic thread like bNb suggested.  I'm bummed that I couldn't put you or Jim on fish yesterday.
