I am almost 100% that they dont allow booze of any kind on the beach.  If you cant paddle 5 miles, just hitch your bowline to Greatbass2.  He wont event notice  :smt003

technically no
my wife works in the harbor & even she thought it was "no bottles" BUT the official parks website specifies no alcohol allowed on Harbor or twin lakes beach, even in cans.

this has lead to some creativity, "necessity is the mother of invention".

We plan to  :beer1 while we are  :yak  I hear Scott is serving shots at the mile buoy!   :smt007  Really it's not that far of a paddle, and considering 2-3mph is a fairly easy pace to keep, with breaks to :beer1 and some are planning on dropping a line or two at the buoy as well  :smt004  Beauty of the course is you can head directly back to launch at any point!  I figure once you reach the wharf the wind will help with the next half anyway!

Just to be clear ... NCKA does not condone the breaking of any laws or regulations.

That being said, I enjoy a beer on the beach!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. The alcohol prohibition is just to deter hobos from passing-out drunk on the beach in front of tourists. Just be respectful and use discretion if you choose to enjoy a beer at the beach....aka no kegstands!
