Steph that is worthy of recognition.  :smt006 :smt044 :smt008
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

RED ALERT RED ALERT!!

BIG BREAK IS FLOODED!  AOTY CEREMONY CANCELLED AND WE'RE ALL JUST GOING TO DO IT ONLINE!

JUST KIDDING.

Hi All,

As Big Break is flooded, and is anticipated to be flooded this coming Saturday, we are changing our venue to LAKE CHABOT Regional Park, in Castro Valley.

Everything else will stay the same as for timing of event.

Lake address:
17600 Lake Chabot Road
Castro Valley, CA 94546

Look for our group in the picnic areas pretty close to the main parking lot on the map here:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/37%C2%B042'59.1%22N+122%C2%B006'13.2%22W/@37.716418,-122.1042042,224m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d37.716418!4d-122.103657

Park Rules:
Parking is $5.
No power boats allowed.  Kayaks are $2 each for launching.
There is a watercraft inspection - $4
Fishing Fee is $5.
Dog Fee is $2.
No smoking allowed in the park.
Drinking of Beer & Wine are fine.
Allowed to cook in the designated picnic area.

Please bring some tables and ez ups just in case.  Should be fine weather wise and there are picnic tables but we could use a few extra.

Marv/Shitty Chicken will cook his pig starting around 6am and could use a couple of hands.  I'll be there as well.  I will be fishing in the kayak, and will update my PRE AOTY fishing thread shortly. Unfortunately, donuts will no longer be sponsored but I'll still bring a couple dozen from my local donut shop.

There's an entry gate to pay at.

Here are some screen shots that hopefully will help...

You can see in the "Marina Area Detail" pictures that the parking is very close to a group of picnic tables....

This is where we are planning to set up...

Map shows these tables are roughly between a "hot coals receptacle" and "drinking water" and just across the bike path from a "fish cleaning station".

The restroom building is just down the bike path towards the lake.

I have shown the parking lot with a blue line, picnic table area in a red rectangle, and bathrooms in yellow circle.

AOTY committee guys and Shicken will be there early (6/7am) to start setting up stuff and claiming space for us so look for them and help them and set up with them.

If you have questions please post them here so we can answer them and all be on the same page.

Thanks again for all your patience with the venue change!!!

Sincerely,

Jim

Nick and I will fry up some fish for the potluck... most likely sturgeon and possibly some lingcod or rockfish... Might bring a hedgehog/winter chanterelle quiche for breakfast too.. extra hands to batter and breadcrumb are always welcome and much appreciated hehe!

Jim, do I need to bring my cook station? If someone wanted to cook up breakfast on the griddle or brew coffee, BBq, etc?

It sounds to me like it would be great to have Rich...if it's not too hard to bring for you and Cody...

Thanks!
