I'm sorry for the conflict of events.
Unfortunately, this is the same weekend this event has been held for the three years prior to Covid.
However, with a 400-mile separation, I am hopeful that it will not be a major conflict.

Open Shelter is on Sunday morning?

That's actually way way better than Saturday for me if that's the plan.  And in that case a couple diehards might even make both these tournaments.

Challenge accepted  :smt003 135 miles to MBK, 132 to SC. I'm basically directly in the middle and can run 101 both ways lol

I am very excited about this event and Just about ready to post official info about Open Shelter 2022!
I hope everyone enjoys the format I have chosen this year, but I am always welcome to feedback, so if something doesn’t look good or you have thought about improvements, please call or send me a PM.

With that said, I am looking for a couple things ….
1. I will probably need a couple volunteers to help throughout the day
2. In order to have a raffle, I will need help collecting items.
3. I need suggestions for a few family friendly activities while family members are on the water. May also need volunteers to help coordinate these activities.

Unfortunately, I’m not as young as I used to be, and there will be a lot going on during this event, so, any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Eric

OK, Everything is just about ready to go ……
But ……
I’m waiting for the new event website to publish (up to 48 hours).
Once everything clears, I will post a link to the event site where you will be able to print forms and find all the info about Open Shelter 2022.
Also,
I have a team working on the event T-shirts that should represent the event very well. I will post the artwork as soon as we finalize the design.
Another thing,
I want to thank all of you who have messaged me about assisting during the event weekend. I will be reaching out to you in the coming weeks.
Please,
Be patient with me as there is a lot going on here with the Event, the Inn, a few side jobs I’m working, and a trip to Bozeman next week to watch my nieces college graduation.
Organizing a event like this definitely takes a lot of time and energy, but I’m sure it will be worth it in the end.
Thank you all for making the kayak fishing community one of the best
See Ya Soon,
;0)

You mentioned there was sone merch(shirts) for the event. Perhaps a tye dye station would be cool for family entertainment while other are out fishing. Alot of options for people: bring your own shirts, use white ones from the event, I’ve even made really cool black shirt tye dyes with bleach(little more risky than food dye tho).

Also not sure how practical it is, but I’ve been wanting a portable projector for glamping situations. Perhaps someone has adequate gear to set up an out door movie theater for passive entertainment.

My final idea is painting rock  :smt044 cheap, practical, funny  :smt044
Tight lines n’ good vibes
