So they have a seasonal closure in place until April, but then it's open for reservations.  So cannot do the original dates of the |StormTrooper| weekend.   But I'm happy to go for April Fools weekend, which seems like a great time to do it.

Site can hold 50 people, but have only 11 Car passes, so will have to figure out what to do about more passes if needed.

Reservation made for 4/1 - 4/3 the first weekend they are open.  Had a nice chat with the lady doing the reservations, she said she was still working there during that time during the first Lake Del Valle FnC, and how awful the weather was that year.  It was after that they decided to stop renting it out during the winter months, and they no longer have boy scouts do mandatory rain camping either apparently.

So post up if you want to go, they have 11 parking permits they will email me a week before and will need to hook up and hand them out.  Your kayak will need to be very clean and very dry to pass inspections there, you have been warned!  Had to pay for an alcohol permit, better get your use out of it  :smt005

Hah I was there when Ben found that thing just on the sidewalk and he casually put his hat down in front of it, and it crawled right in to be his pet. :smt003 I believe Ben kept that tarantula for several years and gave it to someone else to keep as a pet when he moved back east, or maybe up north, cant remember.

There is also a spot on the map there called tarantula cove  :smt005 Swear to god, google it.

EDIT: Also apparently right next to Bobcat Cove.  And I SWEAR I have seen a Bobcat there, and have video to prove it  :smt005

I split the original thread because it was a little confusing.

If you're definitely going post up again so Al can get a good idea of who will be there.

Thanks!
