Andy and I went for the day and arrived around 9:00am to what looked like a lake instead of the windy bay. We hung out in the awesome weather and walked down the rockwall and talked to a bunch of people fishing, tossing net's for some smelt, cooking out there on the rocks tacos, it was a real good time out there on the wall, but didn't see any fish aside from bait being caught.
From the rockwall you can see the U.S.S Hornet and the path from the parking lot leads right to it, so we went. We paid and did the self tours of the flight deck and checked out the view from the top, it was very very nice out there to say the least. Andy got a kick out of all the old planes and helicopters. We headed back and caught up with everyone just as people were getting off the water and got to hang out with some cool mf og's of NCKA and eat some grub, tell some stories, see some fish caught, and hear the bragging rights of those that placed. Just awesome every time the gang can get together and hang out. Few pics 7

General Fishing Tips / Re: How many of you have 2-rod stamp?« on: April 18, 2024, 02:15:59 PM »Two rod is indispensable to koke, landlocked king, and trout trolling. Which is a majority of my time. Usually one rod shallow and one deep, almost never the same depth or presentation until I’m confidently dialed in.This. It's always a good idea to be running multiple offerings and multiple depths. You spend a long time and distance trolling for them, trying to figure out what they want. Better to use two offerings or depths while covering ground. I don't usually get much of an issue with tangles when I hookup. I keep going with my pedals trying to keep trolling straight as I grab the rod and start reeling trying to keep tension. When the fish starts getting close enough to net is when I turn my rudder towards the fish and try and land it. My other line falls and in deep water I rarely have any issue retrieving it or having my fish get hung up in it. 9

I probably can't stay upright in the 160 at the moment, regained too much weight. General Fishing Tips / Re: How many of you have 2-rod stamp?« on: April 17, 2024, 08:26:56 PM »Hmmm, the wife and I have a two rod license, mostly for crabbing with snares off the beach. I was always told, casting off the beach you need the two rod license for two rods and even fishing off a kayak, you need the two rod license in the open ocean. I have heard some people are getting a commercial license to use multiple rods in the bay and open ocean, to have a no limit on the catch. Can anyone comment on this please, enquiring minds want to know, please educate, R.Nope, no limit on the ocean side, but there is still in the bay. The 2 rod stamp specifically say: Quote Second Rod Validation $19.44 Allows a person to fish with two rods or lines in inland waters, except for waters in which only artificial lures or barbless hooks may be used. Quote 28.65. General. Except as provided in this article, fin fish may be taken only on hook-and-line or by hand. Any number of hooks and lines may be used in all ocean waters and bays except: 12

Ever seen the cat fishing folks out on the east coast? I've seen one guy using up at 8 rods almost no one less than 3. I often wonder if they have more success or not, figuring if the bait is in the zone, more is just more choices.

When trolling for trout I like to have two rods, and when fishing from the shore two rods can be good for bait fishing or bait fishing and tossing lures. In the ocean it isn't required, but it's there that I usually only use one rod. Second is for bait/backup when ocean fishing.

Hello Hello! Once you reach 10 posts you can post in classifieds section. Often people join just to post something for sale, so we restrict it to avoid that. But you seem to have joined a long time ago, and posted a few times, can easily get you up to 10 here and move this to classifieds. Where did you get your T160 from?
