For Sale / Thule roof rack for sale
« on: March 31, 2024, 02:50:22 PM »
Thule wing bar evo 53” and Thule evo clamps that’ll fit most sedans/truck/suvs.
This cross bar is adjustable making it universal with most vehicles. Used previously on an Acura tsx, Audi a3, and a Toyota Tacoma. These sit onto the roof with rubber pads, then secured into the door frame clamps. The clamps tightness can be adjusted with an Allen wrench. Perfect for a vehicle with no factory rails. Turn an ordinary car with more capabilities for adventure.
Never had an issue with issue with water leaking in the car, door closing, or it feeling unstable. I really liked these.
Selling because I no longer have a use for it. They worked great on many road trips and miles of travel. I changed vehicles and had to change my roof rack system as well.

$200

General Talk / Portable pressure washers
« on: July 31, 2023, 03:14:49 PM »
Just recently purchased an 18volt ryobi pressure washer with intentions of using it to spray the garden for aphids. Appears it has multiple nozzle setting to adjust the pressure of sprayer, making it suited for many jobs.
Then i realized I could wash my kayak and gear after fishing sessions where water isn’t convenient! Just need to plug the intake hose into a 5 gallon drinking water container, simple as that. Will probably buy two now. Maybe the newer model that sprays at 600 psi, instead of 300 like the one I bought.

Believe other brands such as dewalt make them too, if your not a into ryobi…

For Sale / Roof rack kayak holster
« on: June 12, 2023, 11:35:33 AM »
Great for maximizing space and versatility on your roof rack system. Avenn brand. Foam padding is still soft and in good condition. Held my revo 11 firmly on long road trips. Imagine it’ll work great for most others kayak brands and styles. These were attached to a set of Thule areo blades. Fasting system appears universal for other style roof rack cross bars.
I’d  buy again. Selling since I sold my car I used these with.

General Talk / Magic seaweed fully merging with Surfline
« on: April 04, 2023, 02:44:30 PM »
I really like magic seaweed since it didn’t seem as profit focused for their services. Just provided data and analytics for the audience.

"I can't wait for everyone who has been using and supporting MSW for all these years to get their hands on the best of everything we've been creating, as we bring MSW and Surfline together."

Anyone want sone crab bait for their hoops? Lol
Have a busted wrist and moving. Won’t have time to pull hoops soon, or store it where I’m moving. Only going to be able to store it till Friday.
Let me know if you can pick it up, near Santa Cruz before then. Also headed to SFO Thursday afternoon, if someone is interested along the route.

General Fishing Tips / channel islands santa cruz
« on: May 03, 2022, 04:45:51 PM »
I’m headed to Santa Cruz Channel Islands the third week of May. I’ve contemplated brining my kayak for the trip… at this point I’m pretty committed to the idea of brining my revo 11. Potentially damaging my baby, or running into a shark with no emergency services within a close proximity are the major setbacks in my mind.
However the dream of slaying a yellow tail, or halibut. As well as exploring the scenery from the water contrast the setbacks.
I searching for for sone helpful advice for fishing out of scorpion anchorage off Santa Cruz Island. I understand there is a protected zone at the anchorage from the fish legal app. Besides the helpful information from you rad people on NCKA, I’m going to call the kayak business on the island for their perspective as well. Not sure what the probable outcome of that dream coming true. However if I don’t try it’s a big zero. Anyone have an experience, or good stories fishing SC channel island?

I’ve been beating myself up all week that I didn’t check the forms, or go off my initial instinct to fish last Sunday. Especially after reading KFP rpt  :smt119
It’s gusting pretty hard all day in Monterey bay, probably most CA. The swells seems minor, keeping my fingers crossed the winds will settle over night. Either way loading up my gear up tonight with high hopes things will look nice at first light. Grew up surfing moss, and understand it’s no kiddy pool. Looking for more perspective from experienced individuals, and company.  :smt109

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Capitola 7/24
« on: July 25, 2021, 09:41:53 AM »
Good day of fishing and even better conditions. Launched thru ankle bitting waves at 7:30. Beached around 4:50pm. Worked from sponge bob buoy, the mile reef, and everything in between lol.

Loaded up on anchovy’s, by 8:30am was fishing one rod. Never even used an anchovy. Rock fish were feisty and good sized for town standards. Tried trolling a candy sardine lucky craft, no luck. Dropped down a smelt colored big hammer swim bait. Found rock fish piled up on each other. Lost count after four, released all the medium sized ones. Finished with five plump ones make the knives look small.
Decided to leave the rock fish alone, and try another spot by 11am with no luck. Continued moving. At noon I Hooked into a White Sea bass with the smelt big hammer swim bait, too bad it was five inches short  :smt010 fun fight non the less. Continued fishing with no significant action. Lots of chatter on channel 11, sounds like they were slaying butts. Next time  :smt003
