I'm thinking about going out of VD on Sunday to troll for salmon and I wonder if some other fishin fool wants to partner with me.

The plus:  weather projection looks like pretty good water.  Launch & landing should be easy.  There are definitely salmon among us.  A few real nice fish 12 - 20 pounds have been caught, and at times from schools where power boats had multiple hookups.

The minus: today (Friday) nobody I talked to hooked up out of noyo in spite of pretty decent water.  Seems like recent wind has scattered or moved the schools to who knows where.  Also, this is historically pretty early for many fish to show up.  We could spend hours dragging a sardine through the water hunting for the few fish in the area, somewhere...

But I am an optimist (or delusional, take your pick) and absolutely love hooking up with that big one.  With a really big one, you may get a free ride to Hawaii!  And if we can find a school, we can park our yaks with socks and mooch with circle hooks.  Maybe have lotsa fun.

I'm thinking of launching about as early as we can and staying out til 1 or 2 at the latest depending on luck and the wind.  We'll fish north so the afternoon breeze can give us a free ride back in.

If you're interested, post me a response and we'll try to hook up.  Thanks, compadres.
