I was the only diver to check in a Ling for this comp over the weekend so ended up winning....

https://www.outtoseamonterey.com/events/

All my usual holes and spots were empty and conditions were pretty bad.

Feel pretty silly winning with such a little fish, but I worked my butt off for it so I'll take it.  :smt005

Sunday was even rougher so went out on my buddy Jesse's boat and did some hook and line. Jesse got a nice Ling and ended up in 4th place with 19.9 pounds for two fish.

We also saw Craig TriangleLaguna out there, and got to chat and chill with him for a bit.  :smt001 :smt003

The Out To Sea shop is really cool and has a great selection of tackle and bait etc.

The PigWizard right next door is awesome as well, and they have great food and yummy beverages.  :smt004

Hopefully next year more kayakers and divers will compete.

Thanks again for the tip PK!!

Jesse was super stoked. He was only a few pounds away from placing in the top three.

Super cool guy and glad he scored that nice fish.
