 :smt006hi guys!

Going to fort Bragg in a couple weeks and was wondering if I could get some Intel on the halibut grounds.  We are hitting Caspar cove for lings but would like to go for butts too.  Any advise?

About time i got a lung!? Halibut are in the sand flats normally. Fish transitions from rock to sand during slack and you may find them lurking, I know nothing of Casper cove specifically though.

Get a lung?! Yeah, looking for something like, go north to mackerricher or something like that.  Just not sure what's around the area.

I have heard of and seen Halibut taken from Albion to Ten Mile beach.  Unfortunately they are just not in as high as numbers as other areas.  So if you want to try go for it  but Rock Fish are so much easier up here at least until our late Salmon season opens.
