SWEET HOOK!! I can see GUT hangin' between his fingers! :smt007 Rancho Seco?!?! I have been to"the lake",is the canal accessable from the lake? is that a "rare" catch or are they abundant?

Well, the Smallies don't really live in the lake as far as I know.  The canal is NOT accessible except for a small part where Claystation road crosses it and from the back of my friend's property which the canal backs up to.  Rancho Seco is fed from Folsom Lake (which is fed from the American) so the water is a bit colder than Rancho Seco iteself.  This is why the small mouths are someone more abundant here, but definately not in this size.  The spot he fished never really gets fished so you stumble upon large, unusual, weird fish etc. ( Carp, Catfish, LMB, SMB, sometimes Koi- really weird)
