I like the idea of adding dried fruits and nuts with spices to the meat mixture. Very cool

I’ve never made pemmican before, but I love heating up the femur and pouring the marrow out on my steaks or backstraps. It adds tons of flavor, so I imagine pemmican would be good.

I made it once some time ago and it turned out well...used elk meat, dried and shredded, added some nuts, fruits and then poured rendered beef fat on it and mixed it all up...super high energy food!
