Wheeleez+Crab Line - through - Scupper Holes

I have had some problems with my wheels getting yanked sideways going over large obstacles. A friend of mine has one of those supper hole wheels and doesn't have the same problem so I came up with this idea. I spliced some crab line on the Wheeleez then spliced an eye at a length that is lower than the top of the yak, then thread a strap through it and you are good to go.

Two straps always works for me too, but might be quicker with just one strap.

The wheeleze will still fold up on you with one strap on one side of the unit.  Just use one long strap over the boat through the sides and back over the boat.  Wheelse says two straps I say one.

It’s not necessary but nice with good idea.
My loaded AI never have problem with one long strap go through both sides, the same as Bushy pics.

A lot of times I attach the wheels to the rear of the yak because I load it in the truck with the wheels on. Because of the taper things tend to slip. I like Bushy's tie down with one strap. I'll test both out for a while and see how it goes...

Wheels on one end means you are carrying most the weight of the boat.  A opposed to balancing on the wheeleze.

Oh yes, I can feel the difference. I am just lazy and only want to mess with the wheels once. I am going to see how it rides in the truck with the wheels in the middle. I usually put the wheels in the rear, load it in the truck, then just park it in the garage that way.  I'll play around with it...

PS I am interested in trying out your strap method. I am going to join the two wheeleez straps together and see how that works.

My strap is long enough to go thru the front and rear and over the kayak twice. Very secure.

Also be careful about leaving straps on the yak when not in use.  At least loosed them up, to avoid oilcanning your boat.
