Hey guys...Had some time today and I keep hearing that the bait is getting closer- at least in HMB- so I thought I'd check out LM.  I wasn't expecting much but thought I see if at least bait was around. The weather was awesome and the wind never really came up.  I trolled all over and at least a mile+ out and didn't meter any bait...it looked really sparce out there. I would have gone farther out if I had company...who knows maybe the bait is just a hair futher out.  Its still super early for LM anyway so this isn't a huge surprise.

Yesterday from atop Fort Funston I saw a voracious bait ball and birds going off about 300 yards out. That was really my impetus for checking out LM but it looks like we still have some time to wait.... Thought I'd post because it sounded like a few of you had plans for LM this weekend and it looks like you might have a better shot elsewhere.

Oysterpoint halibut/striper is sounding good for the meantime. Think I'll check in with LM in a month or so.

Jeff, thanks for the report.  It looks like we're changing our plans based on your findings.  We're gonna try the Alameda Rockwall for Halibut instead.  Kevin will post the new plans in our "Hookup" section.
