Post by: & on December 30, 2015, 03:49:31 PM
"If they're selling fish with parasitical worms in it, that is not acceptable!"  Um, OK...

Thank god they didn't check the halibut or lingcod fillets. Lol. I love how people are SHOCKED by this.
They would throw up if they saw the belly liner of that expensive halibut they just bought.  :smt005
Not new to any of us here.

Geeeez... if parasites in fish freak him out, he should've seen the marinated tri-tip that I cooked up a few days ago from Costco.  It had what looked to be a "tumor" and some "holes" burrowed through it.  Tasted great though.  Hopefully my new tapeworm will help me lose weight for the coming year.   :smt003

Worms in the salmon is encouraging. Either it's wild salmon or they aren't pumping the farmed Atlantic salmon as full of antibiotics as they used to.

When I worked in the Costco meat department 20 years ago I picked plenty of worms out of cod and halibut. Never once did I find a worm in salmon and the salmon was by far the most popular fish sold.

watched the video again.  Dad actually says, "If the worms are natural, that is not acceptable."  meaning, what, he doesn't accept nature, or he doesn't accept costco selling natural fish lol.  Either way dad, just grip it and rip it - prolly ain't eating suchi in that household ever again

It's a gland. Harmless. The fat cap has several of them. The holes were probably an effort to remove the visible glands so the purchaser didn't freak out and call the news station.

The same guy also yelled at the bartender the next day complaining that the drinks he served him gave him a hangover

They should see the worms on my lingcod fillets.  Those things are still alive after 2 days in the fridge.

apparently a documented occurrence.  other ppl be uploading like cpl dozen vids featuring other wormy costco fish (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=costco+fish+worm+manteca).

Q:  Does live worminess indicate anything positive, like freshness of the fish?  Eat up folks  :puke:

This is hilarious. These people think they've stumbled upon the scandal of the century when all these worms indicate is that Costco's fish is fresh and wild.
