:smt046   Especially like the sound of whale chunks landing near the camera/mic!  Nice find Zee.

Hi Zee, Usagi, PK, et. al.,

My older stepson showed me the exploding whale video about a year ago, but it never ceases to amaze.  I think a large chuck of rotting whale hit someones' Cadillac and stove-in the roof, but the rumors of this incident have been flying (and stinking)
for some time now.  :smt003

Hollywood movie writers should take up kayak fishing for health and new ideas.  :smt002

Usagi,  Great jokes.  Where does your stepmother live in Japan?   My GF is Japanese and has a house in the mountains near Yamanashi and her brother is near Tokyo.   My home town of Mendocino has a Sister City in Miasa, Japan, and our towns do home exchanges back and forth every year.  We even had an Emperor visit here for the first sister city ceremony a few decades ago.   There is a big brass plaque on the Mendocino Headlands in commemoration.   Exiting stuff for our little town.  :smt002

Mom and Dad live in Saga, down in Kyushu.  My wife's brother lives in Nagasaki, although he may have moved to the Saga area since I last heard...he's getting married next year (yay! trip to japan for me!).  :smt002  My wife also has friends and relatives in Tokyo also, and I think up in Hokkaido.

And because this is the funny stuff forum, I'd better add this:

You don't quit playing because you get old, you get old because you quit playing...

Usagi,

That Japanese video almost killed me  :smt044   Ah yes, good ol' Japanese humor TV.   So subtle...so dignified...so mysterious.   I'll take a good wasabe joke anytime (Mooch knows a few, I think, from his sushi restaurant days).

But "Old Man Bites Gently?!"   Now that's just plain scary.   I think I'd rather try my chances with a Giant Humbolt Squid...  :smt002   -Matt

Not coming up for me either.   And if Joel says something funny, I want to listen, learn and laugh.

Just Pump... and Launch!  I've seen these on Amazon.  They sometimes actually catch fish.   They also break easily and tangle.   Hee.

I think there needs to be a tournament where that is the only setup you can use.
