I was having a brew the night before last while taking a little trip down memory lane via some older home videos.  I was totally struck by just how far my boy's come in just under 3 years (although that technique he used to use of pulling some more line out to fight the fish longer was sort of cool...lol).  I can also, in very good conscience recommend budge Pflueger spinning reels for kids, given that he's still using the same one (that thing's been through hell and back!).

Naturally, in anticipation of a potential need to embarrass the kid, I had to use the clip where my wife (then GF) had to help him release the fish.  Also, there's NOTHING to see with regard to that guy in the background almost hooking himself in the face while missing one.....lol

They only grow up once....cherish the moments.....TIGHT LINES...

Always walk a mile in someone's shoes before criticizing them.  That way when the criticizing begins, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Cool video, thanks. My youngest is 41 now so those times are just good memories for me.
I recognize Baum lake, where is the second one?
"Pedo Viejo" is what Antonio called me.

Thanks for the watch and kind words...second video is at Echo Lake (the one near Caribou Wilderness that you can drive too...lol...too many Echo Lakes out there) from our Father and Son get away a couple weeks ago...I posted that whole video too in the fishing reports section...we slayed them for 2 days.
