Hi all,
I have been fishing from my kayak for a couple of years now and love it!  This year I plan on making it a serious habbit and try to fish as many days as possible.  I usually am out fishing for stripers and shad up here on the Sac and the American. I really want to get out on the bay and start targeting some halibut and other fish.  The guys I got my new yak from said I need to check out this web site out, a lot of good guys and tons of info.  I think that I'm a little late for the halibut season, but any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard and to the MADNESS!  Take your time to look around, there're tons of yaking information from riggin to where to launch and yak fish.  Check out the "hookups" forum and hope to meet you OTW someday soon.

Thanks guys,
I am not an expert hamachi (at least not yet) but I have been striper fishing in the sac area for a while.  If you have any ?'s let me know, I will try to help.  I have had most of my success bait fishing, haven't been out in the delta, that's where the big stripers hide.  Just getting my new tarpon dailed in and then gonna be back on the water.

Don't worry.  Halibut hasn't started up yet this year.  Right now its sturgeon time!  Like the others said, check around this site.  LOTS of info.
