after EVERYONE left saturday night....Mooch&I finished off the event with a HeadlampLiteDinnerForTwo by the Campfire! MexicanFoilTrout was on the menu. Stuffed with Cilantro, GreenOnions,Garlic, Butter, Lemon, a drizzle of IPA, Salt&Pepper. WE DEVOURED IT and burned all those enlongated trees laying around the fire area....it was BIG&Hot!!

Packed up camp and was on the return trip by 9am, back to off-load some stuff in the cars and then fish the dam area......not a single bite!!  I'm sy=tarting to really HATE this lake NOW!  it looks so fishey, they should be jumping right into the yaks at some points&drop-offs!!...oh well!! it was great to get out and FHC with da'fellas.

pic1~ toughing it the easy way...all aboard!

Man, it looks like you guys had a great time... nice weather too!  Wish I could have made it but need to preserve WAF.

I'm going to make a point of getting up there in Feb for Shotgun slug season... unless I get a couple piggies before then.

Adam and Mooch... congrats on the steelies... I love those fish!

Thanks for the pics.

Thanks for the compliments brothers! That steelhead made 4 jumps before it was finally subdued :smt007 Awesome fighting fish! Can't imagine what a river steelhead can do to my light tackle  :smt118

info: I caught mine trolling a countdown black and silver rapala on 4# mono along an edge (drop off).

You betcha! Glad it helped in the cold nights. There was a reason for bringing that extra load, huh.

Carry on with your thoughts of a NCKA backpacking hookup (Fishin-Jay be our guide).

I'd love to. Point Reyes has some good hike in sites that aren't too crowded during the winter, and the surf perch fishing could be good.
