That website is out of date, last modified August 23, 2015. It will now cost you $12 to drive down to the bottom to unload you kayak and drive back up to park. No more beach parking at the bottom.

Yikes... that's a big increase, and just to drive down unload and drive back up to park?  Is it 8$ if I wheel down?  Only 7$ at Ocean Cove for day use if you wheel down.  But 18$ if you want to drive down?

I talked to her on the phone and she said $8 to launch a kayak if you walk it up and down the hill. $15 extra if you drive it up and down.

Extra, as in 23$ total?

That was my understanding.

$23 for driving down to launch a kayak sounds way too high, considering she charges $25 to launch a boat.

I'm guessing driving down with a boat or kayak is pretty much the same in her mind.

I was there two weeks ago and paid $8 per person in an envelope as usual.  I drove down, unloaded, and drove back up and parked.  Maybe I just got lucky?

she is pricing herself right out of our budget!  walking down/up that hill aint that bad, but its not worth the side bullshit(if camping) she'll put you through to try and squeeze as many people into that small area as she can. Not giving a shit about the people she asks to move over alittle, 3 or 4 times in a day!
Never again!!

***day use is well worth it,,,,,if you are alone.   :smt002
