It's $50 to be a member which also allows you to fish the monthly state online tournaments, the online challenge events (such as the monthly one night stand tournaments, the regional Trail events (2 in NorCal this year), the Open events, and also qualify for the 2018 National Championship ($100,000 first place payout).

For the online challenge events this year the top 100 anglers in points at the end of the year (November) will be fishing an event for a first place payout of $10,000.

For the top 10 points anglers across all events combined there is a tournament at Bienville Plantation in Georgia to fish for a $10,000 winner take all pot.

Being a member of KBF also gets you a discount code good for the year to purchase apparel and equipment through KBF and Hook1.

If you are planning on fishing both trail events in NorCal then you may as well get a KBF membership.  The entry to the Trail events for members is $50 and for non-members it's $75.  That's a no brainer.  The Trail stops this year will be next months event on the Delta and then the second one will be on Clear Lake in August.  There is also a Trail event down in Nevada on Lake Havasu for those willing to travel and another up in Oregon.

Thanks!  Can't wait till next year's event back on Kentucky Lake again.  That was my first time there and I learned quite a bit about the lake.  Hard to believe the size of that place until you're actually there.  We fished two areas in practice that didn't pan out for anything but small fish and wrong species and then went blind to an area that was a long way from where we practiced for day one of the event.  It took us a while on day one to figure out the pattern but once we did we were really able to capitalize on it come day two.  I landed the 7th largest limit of the tournament on day 2 which jumped me from 114th place to 26th which earned me a check for $1200.  It also earned me a qualification for the 2018 National Championship.

Next year's top prize will be $100,000 for first place and then for 2019 they are rumored to be moving the event down to Texas.  I would bet on it being held either at Toledo Bend or Sam Rayburn.  Either of them will be a fine location for an event and should produce some giant bags during the prespawn!!
