I saw this photo yesterday--heard it was caught outside the Gate. Somebody must've thought they caught a CA record black RF. And yes, I believe these are confiscation pics taken by the DFG. Note that this fish has long been dead, so the colors don't show. But juvenille BSB have big spots which are a dead giveaway.
