Had to be a stand up person to deal with the bike.  Was a drive to Alaska.  We met 3 other couple in Hope, BC.  Rambo (1) was filmed there.  We had a beautiful, sunny couple days in Victoria and as we ferried across to Vancouver, it started to rain.  Weeks of lots of rain.  Cool rain.  There were some breaks, but we saw an inordinate amount of f'n rain.  The seat on the bike would have been wet anyway, so you would have had to stand up.   :smt001

But then again, if you really wanna travel & fish in comfort........
Hey Mooch,
Is this your RV? Or do you know how I could contact the owner? I'm trying to design an easy way(if it's possible) to raise/lower my yak on top of my RV. Hoping to get some input on the pros/cons.

Let's go fishin', and don't look back, cuz you'll never see a hearse with a kayak rack!

Talk to MikeV.  He raises and lowers his yak on top of his live-able camper (for lack of a better word - the actual word is escaping me).  I know that his camper is like 10-12 ft up and he manages to do it but mentioned having not perfected it yet.

Just got a Costco ad...Saw this thing. Looks kinda cool. Double duty as a trailer looks nice.

They have them at Sportsman's Warehouse in Rocklin. I thought they would be fantastic...until I checked it out in person. Not all I was hoping it would be.

Almost done with the new trailer. Just putting this up as a tease. I think you all will like it. I'll have start to finish pics in a few days. Paint needs to dry.

I've been thinking about a trailer a lot recently.  The one thing that seems to deter me is the 55MPH speed limit while towing.  I've heard a few people say they just drive 65 and seem to not be hassled about it, but with the way tickets are being handed out these days for things like 5-6MPH over the speed limit, I'm hesitant to risk it.  It would also add some time to long trips like GS5, but I guess it doesn't mean I have to bring it on every trip.  But it does sound damned convenient to have the boat all ready to be launched and just pull up and unload into the water!

Al it is nice. I don't have a trailer (have been looking for months for a single jet ski trailer). But with my truck bed set up, I am able to have my boat 90% rigged when I get to the launch. Just flip up the FF and slip in the rods. I'd love to have a trailer that I can store the drive, wheels, etc.

post WWll Bantam (1946) 1/4 ton trailer.  with 11" of clearance and a articulating hitch (Max Coupler)  it will go where ever the tow vehicle can go.  kind of a pain to get the heavy Hobie Pro Angler loaded or off loaded but it is nice to have all the room in the trailer to carry camping or other gear.
