My distributor says these boats are ready for release this fall to dealers.
They are marketed more towards the recreational market, but do have a couple of fishing features. However they should be easily customized if done right!
Specs -
Weight - To whit, unknown. My guess would be somewhere between 45 and 150lbs.
12' long.
Width - something around 33".
Color options - ???
Pics-just the one so far.
For more details, follow Hurricane Kayak's facebook page.

Our West Coast distributor is in Salt Lake now and will try to get me more info soon.

Earlier today as I was mentally bemoaning the weightyness of most of the new yaks models I was wondering when someone was going to come out with a thermoformed pedal drive.
Or are there others that I just didn't know about
Not in the market for anything new but good to see.

If it's light, that will be a delight! I will be watching this one.

not having Hobie or a Native is that seat higher than ''usual" just seems high say than the Hobies and the one I saw you had at Albion Ben

I was thinking the same thing. It looks like it would be unstable.

like the concept .... things seem to be getting heavier... at least there`s an option

Could be the picture is showing it's seat in the highest position.

The seat has only one height. the reason it looks really high up is there is a lightweight person in it. it has a lower COG once you put some real weight into it.
The Skimmer 120P will likely also come out with a sister boat from Native Watercraft, that will have more fishing specific features.
It still has a high seat and tall sides, but it will be a stable boat and smooth. It is not a speed demon, probably around the same speed as a Slayer Propel 13. The faster boat will be the Liquid Logic Manta Ray 12 Propel. Gonna get some more stats for you guys on all these boats soon.
Here's a couple of additional pictures that shows how much lower it is in the water once you put some weight on it.

More pics from OR from, the Hurricane facebook page. Looks much better than the white demo one. I'm excited about this boat and hope i can get our distributor to bring it and the manta ray 12 propel down to CA. you can see the recesses on the hull here for people to attach Yakattack rails or probably the Native rails.

I'm guessing the drive uses a propeller of some sort?

It is the same propel drive as the Native boats, so yes.
-
It's cool to see that a Thermoformed pedal drive kayak is coming out.

Bottom of hull pic - looks to be the same tunnel style hull as a Slayer Propel, although more aggressive.
