Hi All....

 I just got a call from one of the Recreational Therapist about a special lady who participated in our event. Mariela was serving in Kuwait when she was intentionally run over by a civilian while changing a tire. She nearly died and was in a coma for a year that has affected her memory and motor skills.
 
She participates in many activities, but never remembers what had happened the day before...
 
Guess What,
 
 She remembered that she went kayak fishing!!!!
 
The Rec Therapist was blown away and made a special call to me about this....
 
Just another anecdote that what we are doing is making a difference...
 
 Thanks to all of you for what your doing!!!

I love this sport!  Sorry I missed out but glade it was a memorable day for those that don't have the luxury to. 

sound like we're gonna have some more NCKA members soon = sweet!

And becuase of this event more of this will also happen.  Sweet!

Well Hello everyone. I am now Registered to the site now and I wanted to thank everyone for making me so welcome and all of the help loading and unloading my kayak at Del Valle. Oh Yes I for got to say who i am, My Name IS Jerry Schock AKA JerBear, I was one of the many Vets that Attended the event. I cant wait for the next one. I noticed most everyone had a marine radio, was wondering how much they are and where to get one, if they are not to much.
